NOTIFICATION AND IDENTIFICATION

Doping Control Officer-DCO and Chaperone identify themselves.

The Athlete receives a notification of his/her selection for the test, which he/she must sign. The Athlete is informed about his/her responsibilities.

The DCO and Chaperone verify the identity of the Athlete.

The Athlete must report to the doping control station as soon as possible.

The Doping Control Station must guarantee the privacy and confidentiality of the Athlete as a minimum requirement.

POURING AND SEALING OF THE URINE SAMPLE

Urine sample should be poured into container B up to the indicated line and then into container A, leaving a small amount in the collected container.

The DCO will measure the specific gravity of the sample to ensure that it is not too diluted; the Athlete may also be asked to provide further samples.

The Athlete is responsible for sealing the bottles or may delegate it to the DCO.

DOPING CONTROL FORM AND SIGNATURE

The DCO annotates on the doping control form:

  • the Athlete's personal data;
  • medical prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines and supplements;
  • code of the biological sample;

The Athlete signs and receives his copy of the doping control form.

The signature confirms that the test was carried out in accordance with the rules.
